The Butcher is a mid-tech design from Andre De Villiers that is one serious folder. Now it's available in a Tactical model with some added and upgraded features. It's still smooth, fast, sharp, and stout - everything one looks for in a tactical blade. This Butcher has a longer 4" Wharncliffe cleaver blade from S35VN stainless steel with a duplex grind and full-length fuller.
A redesigned milled titanium roller-ball pocket clip is the final addition to this Butcher, a big improvement over the spring clip design. Every other aspect that made the Butcher so popular including the flipping action and overbuilt toughness is retained, which makes this knife a perfect choice for your next deployment or night out on the town.
The pivot point is what sets this knife apart from all others. It has an inset Torx screw that fits inside the pivot, allowing you to tighten down the pivot while adjusting the centering or overall smoothness of the action. That action is very smooth, to say the least. Jimping on the flipper tang is sharp and functional; nothing was overlooked in this awesome design. This may not be your typical-looking knife, but get it in your hand and you'll warm up to the design thanks to all the great features it has and the fact that the action is on par with even the best flipping designs.
